Overeaters Choice Self Destruction or Harm Reduction

Overeaters, you know you eat too much. You may even think of yourself as addicted to food and therefore out of control of your eating. But this is not true.

As with all addictive behaviors, you can tackle the potential harms overeating causes, even if you can't get complete control over the compulsion to eat. This approach is known as harm reduction. There are many types of overeating, and not all are addictive, but all can be potentially harmful, even life-threatening when the result is obesity.

So before launching into thinking "What's the point -- I can't stop myself," strategize and put a stop to the damage your food addiction is doing to you, even if you know the psychological pain is still there.
